The Good Groupie isn’t your average music blog.
From its beginning, it’s never been about breaking the hottest new bands, scoring interviews with rock stars or even chronicling one night stands with musicians.
The Good Groupie is a music blog about being a music fan.
And it’s written by a music fan. The Good Groupie is for the fans who fall in love with lyrics, not lead singers. It’s for the fans who’ve saved every ticket from every show they’ve ever seen. It’s for the fans with drawers full of band tees and walls plastered with band posters. It’s for the fans who cross state lines and travel to new cities, all in the name of good live music. And it’s for the fans who share their favorite bands in every way they can because they want the entire world to be a fan too.
It’s for a music fan like you.
What that means is you won’t find a lot of album or concert reviews, breaking music news or anything else you’d see on your standard music blog around here.
What you will find on The Good Groupie is this: an honest and passionate perspective on music from a fellow music fan.
I share new music I’m falling in love with, custom-made playlists and interviews with bands I adore. I write about the stories behind my favorite bands and my misadventures with “the girls” when our musical girl gang travels the country in the name of live music. I talk about why supporting your local music scene is vital and why buying albums from bands still matters.
And if you stick around, I’ll teach what it means to be a good groupie and how you can be one for your favorite bands too.
