Okay good groupies, listen up. You know I love this little band from Austin called Quiet Company. Kind of a lot. Kind of more than a lot. And I have something really exciting to share just in case you hadn’t heard – they officially signed with the Austin-based record label Modern Outsider late last year. (Home to one of my fave 2014 music finds, The Crookes.) Insert about 100 confetti horn emojis here!
I’m so excited because these guys are beyond deserving of even more ears listening to their tunes. Quiet Company is one of those bands that encompasses everything I love about music. I want to frame prints of their lyrics all over my apartment (and maybe even tattoo one or two on myself) as constant reminders of how I should live my life. I love how BIG their sound can get and how I always find myself wanting to sing along at the top of my lungs. But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
Exactly one week from now, Transgressor – their next album and first with Modern Outsider – will be released to the world, and if you’re lucky enough to live in Texas I want to make sure you’re the first in line for one of the release shows! (I may or may not be going to nearly all of them – living up to the groupie part of my name…)
Update: BTW, you can stream the ENTIRE album right here!
