There’s nothing as good as seeing your favorite band live. And I love getting to share those kinds of stories with you guys from time to time.
So when my Twitter pal, and fellow blogger, Samantha asked if she could write another guest post for me (check out her first one on traveling to the Counting Crows multiple times last year!), I said YES ABSOLUTELY! She has such a genuine love for music, and I was excited to share more.
And man, Samantha did NOT disappoint. Read on as she chronicles how she fell in love with Guns N’ Roses in the most unlikely way and what it was like finally seeing them live this summer.

I was 14 years old when I sat in front of my best friend’s television mesmerized at the spectacle in front of me as I watched the video for “Paradise City.” Who were these guys? And they barely have any clothes on. There was a guitar rift I couldn’t get out of my head. They were very in my face.
So different than the bands I was obsessed with at the time – Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths. I was the goth girl with the black clothes and the white make up. I couldn’t let anyone know of my new fascination. There was no Internet then. I had to go to the grocery store and look at the magazine rack to find out more.
