I had a little too much fun with this playlist. It’s the reason I’m posting it two days late – I kept finding more songs to add! I feel my Grinchy little heart growing a few sizes this year…
This week’s Christmas playlist is full of instrumental versions of classic carols and songs I love. Lyrics are everything to me as a music fan, but in the business and rush of the holiday season I always find the absence of lyrics relaxing. It refocuses me, makes me slow down and helps remember that I’m supposed to be enjoying this time of year.
From some all-time favorites by Glenn Miller to the pianist I turned my mom into a good groupie for, this playlist has a little of everything. It’s also still a work in progress. (Then again, what playlist of mine isn’t a WIP?)
Here’s some of my favorite holiday instrumentals:
What’s your favorite instrumental holiday song?
Is it on my list? Or do you have another version you love? I always love hearing picks from you guys, so feel free to share in the comments or Tweet me.
Holiday music not your thing? Then you might want to pop over to Songs for the Day for my winter playlist! Adam, who is a fantastic music fan to follow for constant new music picks, has invited a ton of his friends to share their favorite winter mixes – and the process behind it. And the view I talk about in my post? It’s the day time view of the photo above. Cannot wait to be back there in just another 12 days.
