Rock ‘n roll is the devil’s music. It always makes me laugh when I hear people say that, whether they’re serious or joking. It gives me this image of a guy dressed in red shredding on guitar and somehow lulling everyone into his evil plans.
Not quite how this whole music thing works, is it?
But that idea sure lends itself well to a Halloween playlist because there’s SO many directions you could go! For my own purposes, I tend to stick with the more literal songs about the devil.
If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you may have seen that I was on Sound Opinions, one of my favorite music shows/podcasts, over the weekend. A few weeks ago, the show sent out a Tweet looking for picks of songs about the devil. I pulled up my Halloween master playlist and sent a few their way. Next thing I knew, I was on the phone with Jim and Greg talking about one of my favorite topics!
And after I hung up with them, I was inspired to come up with a more extensive list of songs just in time for my Halloweek celebration here on The Good Groupie.
Today, I present a short and sweet playlist of 7 songs about the devil:
