Spring time in Texas never disappoints. It’s a time for spectacular fields full of wildflowers just begging to have their photo taken. It’s a time of wild thunderstorms as the weather attempts to warm up. And, for this good groupie, spring is a time for new music.
Or at least it usually is. For the last few weeks as I’ve been putting on the finishing touches of thegoodgroupie.com, I felt drawn towards music that was easy listening – but not in that early 90s, Amy Grant and Kenny G kinda way. Music that was a little acoustic, a little on the quiet side – mellow with some hints of energy.
This playlist is what I came up with. It’s not a ton of new music (except for a few new Alabama Shakes tunes – their new album is spectacular!), just a collection of songs I’ve really been enjoying together lately.

If you’re on Spotify, feel free to follow the playlist and friend me – I’m sure I’ll continue adding to it and welcome your suggestions too.
What’s on your playlist this spring?
New music? Old favorites? I’d love to hear what’s been the soundtrack to your spring so far in 2015.
